Privacy policy
In short: we only use your details to help you with your car. We never sell them, and the site uses no cookies or tracking.
Who looks after your details?
Bilråd.dk, run by Frederik Laugsand Markvardsen, is the data controller. You can always write to us at kontakt@bilrad.dk.
What we store
- Name, phone number and email when you book or ask us to call you back.
- The service and time you choose, links to car listings, and what you write in the message field.
- Information about the car and the purchase while we help you, such as listings, inspection reports and loan offers.
- Images and files you attach yourself, e.g. photos of the car or an MOT report.
- The payment: amount, time and which service you paid for. We never see your card details.
Why we store them
- To contact you and deliver the service you ordered. The legal basis is our agreement (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- To issue invoices and keep accounts, as the law requires (GDPR Article 6(1)(c) and the Danish Bookkeeping Act).
How long
We delete your details no later than 12 months after the job is finished. Invoices and accounts are kept for 5 years because the Bookkeeping Act requires it.
Who else sees them
Nobody buys or receives your details. They are only held by the suppliers we use to run Bilråd.dk: our email, the form on the site, the payment provider and our accounting software. We have data processing agreements with them, and they may only use the details to provide their service to us. If a supplier is outside the EU, this follows the EU rules on transferring personal data, e.g. the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, ads or tracking. That's why we don't ask for cookie consent.
There is only one thing the site stores in your browser: your language choice (Danish or English) when you press the language button. This needs no consent because it is only needed to show the site in the language you asked for. It isn't sent to us, and you can delete it by clearing your browser data.
Fonts and animations are hosted on the site itself, so nothing is sent to Google or anyone else.
Your rights
You can always find out what we have stored about you, have it corrected or deleted, receive a copy, or object. Write to kontakt@bilrad.dk. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
